The Pacific Coast of Colombia, where the jungle meets the ocean

There’s a lot of factors amid the impressive diversity of the culture, and the territories of Colombia, this makes the country so varied, that even inside the same region you can find different cultural characteristics. A great example of this plurality is the magical Pacific region of Colombia, composed by the cities and small coastal towns located on this side of the map. The departments that compose this region are Chocó, Valle del Cauca, Nariño and, Cauca. It is the Ancestral territory of ancient communities such as the Emberá, the Wounann, the Gunas (Kunas) and the Awá. Also, most of our Afro-Colombian population is located here. In terms of nature, the place is a breathing paradise. Dark and calm beaches mix with the lush green vegetation, both scenery of the sweet rhythm of the “marimba”, the fiery moves of their dancing and the universe of flavor found on their food and ancestral beverages.
