“Music runs through Colombian’s veins as we are festive and joyful; as music is such an important demonstration of our culture, you will find it all over our country. Vallenato is one of our most representative rhythms and was declared intangible cultural heritage in 2015 by Unesco. In Colombia It has its own festival since 1970 called, “El Festival Vallenato”. Rafael Escalona, one of the most important compositors of this gender of music was the co-founder of this festival which takes place once a year in Valledupar. I love to introduce this part of our culture to you with this playlist that will take you through its history and its most representative artists”
