Upon arrival at the International Airport El Dorado, you will be met by our representative and will be taken to your hotel. Day 2 - City Tour and Local Market + Lunch (B/L/-)

The tour starts with an early morning visit to the Paloquemao’s Market. This is one of the largest of the country; here you will find a large variety of flowers, exotic fruits, vegetables, meat, seafood, cheese, medicinal herbs as well as typical food- a great opportunity to live a unique cultural experience, tasting some exotic fruits and enjoying a small snack during the visit.
to visit the historical heart of Bogotá, La Candelaria, and its splendid colonial architecture. Enjoy a stroll around Plaza de Bolivar, Bogotá’s main square, flanked by prominent colonial and Republican-era landmarks like the Cathedral, the Congress Palace, the Cardinal’s Palace, the colonial churches of El Sagrario and San Agustin, the Independence House, the Palace of Justice and the City Hall. After La Candelaria, continue to visit Bogotá’s Gold Museum, the world’s largest collections of pre-Columbian gold, and a must-see when traveling to Colombia.
The tour ends with a visit to The Botero´s Museum. The works on display are all donated by Fernando Botero, Colombia’s most famous contemporary artist. His work is well-known for large, exaggeratedly voluminous figures. In addition to his work, his art collection is also exhibited.
Notes: The Gold Museum is closed on Mondays and Botero Museum is closed on Tuesdays. Also, please bear in mind when visiting churches and similar, women should not wear shorts or miniskirts and men should not wear shorts. All entrance fees are included. Duration: 8 hours. Day 3 Festival Petronio Alvarez (B/L/-)
A culture can be understood through its sounds. This is why the Petronio Alvarez Pacific Music Festival, held annually in Cali in August, is essential for those wishing to learn more about this region of western Colombia. The festival is named in honor of an important musician born in 1914 on the island of Cascajal near Buenaventura, and attracts local and international bands that play Pacific afro Colombian music.
The Pacific coast of Colombia maintains a rich African culture due to its ancestry, which can be seen in the music, dress and exhibitions at the festival. The festival has progressively grown in popularity and size since its beginning. It is an important celebration of folklore and culture of the Colombian Pacific Coast and a meeting of the most prominent composers and music groups native to the Pacific region.
Away from the main stage, a wonderful display of fish dishes is always available; shrimp empanadas, fish stew, fried plantains covered with shrimp in coconut sauce, fish-stuffed papa rellenas and more. Smaller bands play amongst the artisanal stalls, arts and crafts, afro fashion and everything related with the culture is available at this open event (no cost) that lasts one long weekend.
Transfer to a restaurant with typical food from Pacific Coast, for a cultural demonstration with dancers, live music, tasting of typical drinks, and lunch.
In the afternoon, private transfer to El Pueblo Coliseum, accompanied by a cultural manager, who has been a researcher of the “marimba de chonta” (main instrument used on this culture), and connoisseur of the categories and evolution of the Festival. Enjoy a night and evening of live music, dancing, typical food, hairstyle and a lot of local contact.

Day 4 - Cali / Buenaventura (B/L/D)

Departure from Cali on the road to Buenaventura, stopping at the El Venado Reserve or the San Cipriano Reserve, to take walks through the crystal-clear waters in the heart of the jungle, where you can also enjoy waterfalls and natural pools.
After lunch, the tour continues to Buenaventura, where it begins with a walking tour to the organization Escuela Taller, whose objective is to improve the employment conditions of young people in this region through the recovery of the traditional customs of the Colombian South Pacific, and where gastronomy and instrument building are the tool for personal growth of communities. Later, a historical tour of the pier. Dinner at a local restaurant included.

Day 5 - Buenaventura / Juanchaco (B/L/-)
Breakfast at the hotel, check out and transfer to the Buenaventura tourist pier to take a private boat to the Juanchaco beaches in the Urámba National Park, located 1 hour away approximately.
Here, we will observe some of the greatest manifestations of love in the Pacific Ocean, the sighting of humpback whales, who come to these coasts to complete their reproduction cycle. This activity will last one hour. Afterwards, we will border the Palma Island for some soft birdwatching, this island also has the largest number of Spectacle bears per square meter of the country. Later we will visit the beautiful waterfalls and have lunch on the beach.
Transfer to the Juanchaco pier, and lodging at local hotel in Ladrilleros.
The tour is based in the occurrence of humpback whale’s migration that is a natural event involving the sighting of animals, this is wht there is not a 100% probability to see the individuals. However, these programs statistics report a 90% of success, this means that our guests might have eye contact with the whales: head, back or tail. The whale-watching season is July to November.
Day 6 Juanchaco (B/L/-)
Breakfast at the hotel and start our mangrove adventure. If the tide allows, exploration of the estuaries and mangroves on board of small canoes with local guides. Lunch included at the hotel. Afternoon at leisure to explore on own.
Day 7 Juanchaco / Buenaventura / Cali (B/-/-)
Breakfast and transfer to the pier. Shared boat transfer to Buenaventura. Private land transfer to Cali.
