· Medicinal Herbs Workshop in Bogota
Being such a diverse country, Colombia has a huge variety of medicinal plants. Today’s activity will take us on a journey to explore the different plants and herbs, sourced directly from producers from all over the country, from the Amazon to the High Mountains. The unique blends will help to purify, revitalize, rejuvenate and connect with the wisdom of the earth and the ancestral cultures. Learn about the plants and their uses and taste the blends, unique alchemy for the body and mind.
· Art District: San Felipe
This emerging classic neighborhood of the city has become in the past three years one of Bogotá’s most important art areas. In a short time, many galleries, cultural houses, and chic restaurants have opened their doors to the city’s art connoisseurs. San Felipe is also home to a periodical art, gastronomic and musical event called Open San Felipe, where many events are held and people assist to see the latest expositions, live music and special meals the restaurants prepare. For this tour, we can also visit any of the other art circuits of the city: Downtown and La Macarena, Chapinero and La Soledad and North circuit. A local curator will join the experience.
· Museums in Bogotá
The capital of Colombia is a vivacious and engaging city that has more than 50 diverse and wonderful museums for all tastes. Most of them are located in the cobbled streets of La Candelaria, the city’s historic center. Start with two highlights of the city, the Gold museum, house of the largest Pre-Columbian collection of Latin America, and Botero Museum that carries special pieces donated by our most important contemporary artist, plus his collection that includes Dalí, Renoir, Chagall, and other European masterpieces; The National Museum, a place to have a first approach to Colombian culture as it mixes art, archeology, and history. The Museum of Modern Art of Bogotá, works as a platform for exhibiting great examples of contemporary art from Colombia and other countries.
