Santa Elena Flowers Day Trip including Arvi Park

Just under an hour east of Medellin, in the mountains of Antioquia, we find the small town of Santa Elena, home to a great abundance of tropical and local varieties of flowers, many of which are exported to international markets. Today, you will visit an organic flower farm and meet a traditional “silletero”, who will introduce what a “silleta” is, a very colourful ornate flower arrangement, typical of Santa Elena, and of paramount importance during the “Feria de las Flores” (Flower Festival) taking place every August. Following this visit, we continue to Arvi Park, which covers 16,000

hectares of Andean forest and wetlands, and is regarded as the green lung of Medellin. After exploring this ecological nature reserve, we take the metrocable, back to Medellin.
